Our Stage 2 GPF software retains the stock downpipe, factory catalytic convertor and GPF 3, although we did upgrade the GPF back section on our own ST development vehicle to give more exhaust acoustics.   Whilst we are not supporting GPF removal, over the months of extensive development, we tested all variations of exhaust setups to determine the effects and restrictions of the stock downpipe and GPF. The conclusion was that although the stock system was obviously going to be slightly more restrictive over a system with no Catalytic convertor and GPF, the actual peak number gains seen on the dyno showed less than a 4% gain through a limited part of the rev range. During the rest of the rev range, the results were very similar.  There is a much more significant restriction closer to the engine; a combination of integral manifold/port/turbine design.  All Revo Stage 2 GPF software is specifically designed for a Stock downpipe and GPF.
