Matched with our lightweight aluminium bells finished anodised in black, this brake disc setup is a floating 2 piece assembly and the float is in the disc bell rather than the disc. Lastly the fitting kit includes bolts that are high tensile M12x1.25 coupled with quality spring washers.     RTS has developed the ultimate SMF conversion kit & flywheel specifically for the 1.9 TDI engine. RTS unique “Twin Friction” (drive plate) has been developed using a unique flywheel side friction material whilst adopting a segmented pressure plate face. The aramid friction exhibits 50% less wear than a conventional drive plate friction material.This material also reduces the effects of fade. Fade is the decline in the clutch system’s ability to transmit torque as operating temperatures increases.     The much loved 1.8T engine has proved itself as being not only being very capable in producing high power figures but in being very reliable at the same time. The key to this reliability is the lubrication system, which can quickly become overwhelmed when cars are driven quickly - or on track - causing oil starvation. Under extreme acceleration, braking or cornering, the oil can momentarily run out of the sump under centrifugal force, causing a temporary starvation through the oil-ways, putting critical bearings and bores at risk of damage.For those with bottomless pockets, a ‘dry sump’ system is the ideal preventative solution. But for those in the real world, our neatly engineered solution, based around a brand new OE-spec sump pan is the perfect alternative. Carefully configured baffles and Viton oil control valves ensure that the lubricant can easily move around the engine, but retains a minimum sump capacity, even under the most severe of ‘g’ forces. The relatively soft Viton plates react far quicker than equivalent metal flaps - which are often used on lesser alternatives - and have been designed to withstand the rigours of the high temperatures of oil and its contaminants.Our 1.8T Baffled Sump (FMBSMP18T) is a truly effective upgrade. If you increase the performance of your engine, you need to ensure your fuel system can deliver the goods or you’re going to have a bad day! Upgrading the fuel pump is the first step, but doing this alone will usually result in excessive fuel pressure, especially at idle. This is because the factory Bosch regulators typically don’t flow enough to support larger fuel pumps, especially with turbo E85 setups that demand high fuel flow rates. Rather than replacing the entire fuel rail, or using an adaptor with a separate fuel pressure regulator, simply clipping in the FX-S 8051 will allow you to run a much larger pump setup even with the factory rail. And if you need to adjust the fuel pressure, that’s no problem - unlike the fixed-pressure Bosch regulators, the FX-S can be adjusted from 1.4bar to 5bar. Like all GFB FX regulators, the FX-S 8051 is compatible with pump gas, Ethanol, or Methanol, and also incorporates a soft Teflon valve seat (rather than metal on metal) that will always positively seal and hold fuel pressure on shut down for reliable engine startups. The double layer diaphragm has twice the reinforcing material of the single layer type used in most regulators, and as a result the burst strength exceeds 1000psi! Unlike others that use a metal-to-metal valve seat, the FX regulators feature a replaceable soft Teflon valve seat that helps retain fuel pressure longer after the car is shut down for easier re-starting. We even went to the trouble of adding an o-ring sealed spring hat to ensure no boost/vacuum leakage through the spring adjusting screw.
